What is TruthTribe?

TruthTribe is an empowerment program for tween and teen girls that takes place once a week. Each session is 2-hours and includes Yoga, meditation, expressive arts & peer support.

Who is it for?

Adolescent females in middle and high school looking for increased body awareness, improved self-esteem, positive coping skills for everyday stressors, here & now techniques for emotional regulation, positive peer support And... a whole LOT of FUN!  We also have groups for moms of tween and teen girls, because we know that can be a challenging job!

How often do you meet?

Our groups meet once a week on-going excluding major holidays & depending on how the school calendars typically fall. Throughout the year we hold weekly drop-in sessions, retreats, and other workshops so girls who have other commitments can participate when they are in town and available.

What is the commitment?

For first time members, there is a 3-month commitment to enter our program and after that the commitment goes month-to-month. This allows the group to become a cohesive, supportive environment with members at different stages to encourage, support and give back to one-another.

What are the benefits of participating?

While there are no guarantees, we hope TruthTribe participants complete group and feel more empowered in their lives, more confident in who they are, and increased confidence and ability to handle life as it throws drama, chaos and stress your way.  WE hope to have girls complete groups feeling powerful, confident and supported.

Can moms participate?

Yes! We have two mom’s groups running. High school mom’s can participate on Thursdays 5:30-7:30pm and middle school mom’s meet on Tuesdays from 5:30-7:30pm.

Right now our mom’s participate as a process group without yoga, though we have workshops and retreats throughout the year where mom’s and daughters can come together for a shared TruthTribe experience.

My daughter is hesitant…can she come try it once to see if she likes it?

We hear this all the time from parents and we’re pros at winning resistant girls over! One thing that girls like about us is we are approachable, young-is and we meet them where they are instead of expecting them to come in and immediately open up like an adult might.

We meet each participant before they commit to group to ensure we’re a good fit and vice versa - this takes the pressure off and helps with their level of comfortability.

We also offer events and workshops throughout the school year that have no-commitment and are open to the public. During the summer we have drop-in sessions so girls can check out our group program decide if it’s something they want to participate in during the school year.
